Adobe Acrobat 8: Redesign of the application interface.

The integration of Macromedia into Adobe included a complete merging of the design teams from the two companies. Acrobat was the first product to be redesigned based on Macromedia design themes, which was particularly challenging since the Acrobat development team was most entrenched and the largest team in the company.

I was program manager for the design team, bridging the work of our designers with the existing Acrobat product team process. To ensure a result that both pushed the user experience forward while respecting the existing product, one of the most senior Macromedia XD designers was paired with one of the existing Acrobat team designers.
